It's also quite light making it a great choice for those with smaller cars or a limited storage space.
Convertible
The top double prams and pushchairs are versatile and some are able to change into different seating configurations to meet the changing needs of your family. For greater flexibility, opt for a convertible with dual modes like the iCandy Peach. It's a compact double buggy which can accommodate two children in a row, but it can also be used as a tandem, with the addition of a second-seat kit and rider board. It's responsive and agile and our test participants loved its sleek design. It's not as light as some of the other pushchairs in our list however it does come with an ample shopping basket that is great for parents who carry bags full of toys and groceries.
Lightweight
Some parents want to ensure the future of their double pushchair if they have one child and are expecting another, so a convertible option is a good option. The iCandy Peach allows you to convert from a single to a double pushchair with the addition of either an infant seat or the brand's carrycot (which is suitable for overnight sleeping). The seats are extremely comfortable and our testers appreciate that they can recline in multiple positions. They also appreciate the fact that the canopy has a window that peeks out and offers UPF 50+ protection. The rear seat can also be lifted high to offer an elevated platform for a child to climb on and off, to allow them to reach items in the basket of groceries.
The only downside to the iCandy Peach is that it is quite heavy, but Cher believed that this was overcome by the ease to maneuver and how large the storage space is, with two hanging parent and child cup holders as well as seat-back pockets, and a large underseat basket. Cher also appreciated that the seats can be reversed so that they face each other, which is ideal for siblings who love to interact and talk when they are out and about.
The Delta Children LX Side-by-Side Stroller is a less heavy option however, it is still awe-inspiring. It weighs only 18 pounds, is small, and has self-standing fold, making it easy to transport or store in your trunk. Parents appreciate the quality of the materials and workmanship and the affordable price. The only drawbacks are that the seats do not recline as much as other models we've tested and the rear seat is not as prominent due to its position - it is raised higher than the seat in front.
Another popular option is the Joolz Geo 3, which is slim sleek, stylish and easy to steer, and comes with an appealing design and a lifetime guarantee. It is important to remember that despite their narrower design side by side prams are still wider than tandem and in-line doubles. They can be difficult to navigate through busy footpaths or in stores. They are also smaller which makes them more maneuverable in tight spaces.
